How the Social Publishing skill works
Social Publishing
Agent-first social media publishing across many platforms from a single workspace key. Use this to orchestrate cross-platform campaigns -- for crafting one standalone piece of content, use social-content instead.
When to Use
- Publishing or scheduling posts across multiple platforms at once
- Orchestrating a multi-platform content campaign
- Attaching reusable media to social posts
- Managing a content calendar programmatically
- Retrieving post-level engagement analytics
Supported Platforms
| Platform | Notes |
|---|---|
| X (Twitter) | Profile posts, threads |
| Profile posts + company pages | |
| Business + standalone accounts | |
| Facebook Pages | Page posts with link previews |
| TikTok | Video descriptions |
| Discord | Channel targeting, embeds |
| Telegram | Channel/group messaging |
| YouTube | Video descriptions and metadata |
| Subreddit posts with flair | |
| WordPress | Blog posts with SEO metadata |
| Pins with board targeting |
Workflow
- Define the campaign -- platforms, core message, schedule, and any media.
- Draft platform variants -- generate platform-native copy for each channel, respecting character limits, hashtag norms, and tone rather than copy-pasting one message everywhere.
- Prepare media (optional) -- upload images/videos once and reference them by ID for reuse across posts.
- Validate the schedule -- check platform-specific timing rules and rate limits before submitting.
- Publish or schedule -- queue the posts and confirm with post IDs and scheduled times.
- Pull analytics -- retrieve engagement metrics (impressions, clicks, reactions) 24-48 hours after publishing.
Example Campaigns
- Single platform: a company LinkedIn page post with an attached image.
- Multi-platform launch: the same beta-launch announcement adapted for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Discord, scheduled for a set time.
- Content series: a 5-day drip campaign on X and LinkedIn with day-by-day copy.
Guidelines
- One key, all platforms -- a single workspace key authenticates across every connected account.
- Platform-native copy -- adapt tone and format per platform instead of reposting identical text.
- Validate timing -- always confirm the schedule before submission to avoid rate-limit errors.
- Reuse media -- upload assets once and reference them by ID across posts.
Limitations
- Requires an active publishing account with connected social accounts and a valid API key.
- Platform availability depends on the workspace tier.
- Some platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram Reels) favor video for reach.
Output
A campaign plan: per-platform post variants with platform-native copy, a validated publishing schedule (times and targets), and a confirmation/analytics follow-up plan.
