Zeplik for Chrome
A side panel that opens beside the page you are reading, with every major lab's models in it. Highlight something and ask about it, keep the conversation as you move between tabs, and switch model mid-thread when the first answer is not good enough. It is the same account, the same history and the same credit balance as the web app.
Free. Needs Chrome 116 or newer. A free Zeplik account works, and no card is required.
What you use it for
Ask about what you selected
Highlight a paragraph, press Alt+Shift+Z or right-click it, and the question arrives with the selection attached. No copying into another tab and losing the context of what you were reading.
Read a long page without reading it twice
Open the panel on a specification, a filing, a thread or a contract and ask what it says about the one thing you care about. The page stays on screen beside the answer, so you can check it.
Draft in the tab you are already in
A reply, a summary, a counter-argument, a message to a colleague. The panel stays open as you move around, so the draft is still there when you come back to it.
Switch model without losing the thread
All 285 models from 53 labs are in the panel's picker. Ask one, then ask another the same thing with the history attached, and keep the better answer.
Pick the conversation back up anywhere
The panel is signed into the same account as the web app, the Mac app and the phone apps, so a conversation you start beside a web page is open on your laptop and your phone.
Installing it
- Install it from the Chrome Web Store. One click from the store page. It needs Chrome 116 or newer, which is any Chrome from the last two years.
- Open the panel. Press Alt+Z, or Alt+Shift+A, or click the toolbar button. The panel opens beside the page rather than over it, so nothing is covered.
- Sign in once. The panel uses your Zeplik account, so your history, your models and your credit balance are the ones you already have. A free account works; no card is required.
What it asks for, and what it does not
The extension's only host permission is zeplik.ai, which is the connection between the panel and your account. It reads a page when you ask it about that page, and it reads a selection when you select one. It does not run on every site in the background, and it does not have a switch that turns the asking off. If it ever acts on a page for you, it asks first, one site at a time.

Frequently asked questions
- Which AI models does the Chrome extension support?
- All of them: 285 models from 53 labs, including Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's GPT, Google's Gemini, Meta's Llama, xAI's Grok, DeepSeek and Mistral. The model is chosen per message, in the panel, and switching keeps the conversation.
- What can the extension see?
- The page you are on, when you ask it something about that page, and the text you have selected. Its only host permission is zeplik.ai, which is how the panel talks to your account; everything else it reads it reads because you asked it to, on the tab you asked on.
- Is it free?
- Yes. The extension is free and it uses your Zeplik account, which starts free with credits and no card. Paid plans add a larger monthly allowance; every capability is on every plan.
- Does it work in Edge, Brave or Arc?
- It is published on the Chrome Web Store and installs in Chromium browsers that accept store extensions, which includes Edge, Brave and Arc. Chrome is the one it is built and tested against.
- What are the keyboard shortcuts?
- Alt+Z opens the side panel, Alt+Shift+A also opens it, and Alt+Shift+Z asks about the current selection. Chrome lets you change all three at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
- Is my conversation the same one as on the web?
- Yes. One account, one history. A conversation started in the panel is in your list on the web app, the Mac app and the phone apps, and the other way round.
