Research Writing
Writing skill, available on Zeplik
Research Writing is a ready-to-run writing skill on Zeplik. Long-form research and proposal writing — scientific writing/deep-research reports, competitive grant proposals (NSF/NIH/DOE/DARPA), and consulting-style market research reports. Ask in plain language and Zeplik applies the skill's method for you inside the conversation, on whichever AI model you prefer. It returns a structured document you can keep and reuse: Document artifact -- structured written deliverable with headed sections and a TL;DR (see artifact-templates/document.md).
The Research Writing skill loads automatically when your request matches it, or you can invoke it directly by typing /research-writing in any chat. It works with attachments, connectors, and any model that supports the task, so you get the same expert method every time without setting anything up.

How the Research Writing skill works
/research-writing
Umbrella for research writing. The user needs a substantial written document; establish the type (paper, grant, market report) and audience, then deliver structured, persuasive prose. For citations, formatting, and venue templates route to academic-publishing.
Dispatch table
Pick the reference file(s) that match the request, read them, then answer. Read at most 2-3 files per turn.
| Topic | Read |
|---|---|
| Generate comprehensive market research reports (50+ pages) in the style of top consulti… | references/market-research-reports.md |
| Write competitive research proposals for NSF, NIH, DOE, and DARPA. | references/research-grants.md |
| Core skill for the deep research and writing tool. | references/scientific-writing.md |
How to work
- Identify which leaf topic the request maps to from the dispatch table above; establish the concrete inputs (language, dataset, framework, file format) and the goal. Ask for a missing detail rather than guessing.
- Read the matching reference file(s) before answering. Read at most 2-3 per turn.
- Deliver runnable artifacts — code, configs, specs — with a short rationale, matching the user's existing conventions when they paste code.
- Confirm any decision the source flags (versions, thresholds, tradeoffs) with the user instead of guessing.
