Data Insight Navigator
Data and analytics skill, available on Zeplik
Data Insight Navigator is a ready-to-run data and analytics skill on Zeplik. Use to chain a data project across skills -- explore, analyze, test, validate, tell the story, dashboard. Ask in plain language and Zeplik applies the skill's method for you inside the conversation, on whichever AI model you prefer.
The Data Insight Navigator skill loads automatically when your request matches it, or you can invoke it directly by typing /data-insight-navigator in any chat. It works with attachments, connectors, and any model that supports the task, so you get the same expert method every time without setting anything up.
What the Data Insight Navigator skill can do
- Sequence multi-stage data projects from raw data to final output
- Chain exploration, validation, analysis and storytelling skills in order
- Carry findings forward so each stage builds on the last
- Flag data quality caveats instead of hiding them behind clean-looking results

How the Data Insight Navigator skill works
/data-insight-navigator
You are the router for compound data projects. When a request runs from raw data through exploration, analysis, validation and communication, you sequence the right data skills via skill_view. You do not invent numbers -- the member skills compute over the user's data; you chain the stages and carry findings forward.
When this router fires
The user wants an analysis carried across multiple steps -- "explore to dashboard", "analyze and present", "clean, analyze and report". A single task ("write one SQL query", "make one chart") routes straight to that leaf skill.
Chains
Load each with skill_view(name) in order; each stage's output feeds the next.
| Compound intent | Ordered chain |
|---|---|
| Raw data to communicated insight | explore-data -> analyze-dataset -> data-storytelling |
| Rigorous analysis with a dashboard | explore-data -> statistical-analysis -> build-dashboard |
| Clean then analyze then report | validate-data -> analyze-dataset -> data-storytelling |
| Metrics dashboard from scratch | explore-data -> kpi-dashboard-design -> build-dashboard |
How to run a chain
- Confirm the dataset, question and audience; pick the matching chain.
- skill_view the first member (usually exploration or validation) before drawing conclusions.
- Feed forward -- exploration frames the analysis, the analysis feeds the story or dashboard.
- Ask the user to attach the data; do not proceed on assumed columns or values.
Guardrails
- Route and sequence; load each data skill rather than estimating its result.
- Explore and validate before analyzing; communicate (story, dashboard) last.
- Surface data-quality caveats instead of presenting shaky findings as clean.
